You can find an endless number of cool microcontroller projects and tutorials online these days. The tricky part is finding one that matches the components you already have or sourcing what you need to tackle that awesome project you’re dying to sink your teeth into. So the MAKE staff designed this pack with everything they wanted for their own microcontroller projects. From the Maker Shield prototyping shield to an LCD screen; breadboards to force resistors; tilt
sensor to mini DC motor, and pretty much every resistor, capacitor, and basic LED, this pack has over 100 components covering all the basics and the fun stuff too. It’s an awesome pack for both beginners and advanced users, which is why it’s available with Arduino Uno, Netduino, Netduino Plus, or no microcontroller at all.

Fun stuff! Keep the grand kids interested in science.
Definitely saves the trouble of buying individual parts.

Documentation must be no more than 1, not even links to documentation are mentioned, only a parts list and a ‘How Great is Arduino History’ sheet. I’m very frustrated that there’s no documentation or links to how to utilize the parts in the kit, and I have electrical and computer science backgrounds.
Also, Completeness cannot be a 5 (4 maybe) because there is no USB link cable which is necessary to program it, otherwise the Arduino is useless.
Parallax’s Stamp kits are far superior.
and to boot….the links in the little paper that does come with it redirect to the main website, nothing specific to the kit. Isn’t there a link to a PDF or set of PDFs for actual projects??? The KIT GUIDE seems to indiciate there is documentation available, but again, the URL just goes to the main page. here s what it’s supposed to be: makeprojects.com/v/msump
